Square Enix announces new Dragon Quest Monsters game for Switch

The very first Dragon Quest Monsters spin-off game hit the Game Boy Color in Japan way back in 1998, meaning this September the series will be celebrating its 25th anniversary.

To mark the occasion, Square Enix has shared a new video that runs down all of the games that make up the series, including various unlocalised titles, which ends with a surprise… Yep, a new Dragon Quest Monsters game is currently in development for the Nintendo Switch! We’ll just have to wait for more details, but considering it was announced in English simultaneously here's hoping it sees a release overseas unlike the last few entries!
